Funding Pitch - Entry deadline, January 31st, 2020
We have revised the Idea Pitch Competition for Creatives into a Funding Pitch. Rather than pitch an entire business idea, you can pitch for specific funding. Perhaps you would like funding to help pay your LLC filing fee or maybe you need a new piece of equipment for your DJ or photography business. The possibilities are endless.
Free and Add-On Activities:
Looking for additional opportunities to engage with Chicago's vibrant art scene? We are excited to partner with area artists and organizations to provide you with several unique to SEA options. Some of the activities require an additional fee and all have a capacity. More activities may be added as they become available. If you are registered for the conference, you will be notified of additional opportunities by email. A separate registration form is required. Register early as space is very limited. Transportation to the activity location is the responsibility of the participant. SEA will not be providing transportation. Details including information about directions and parking will be sent to those registered closer to the event date.

Columbia College Production - Friday 7:30 PM (FREE / Maximum 30)
Enjoy a production at Columbia College's Studio 404, just a short 5 minute walk from the Hilton Hotel. FAILURE: A Love Story - Nelly Fail died in 1928 and was preceded in death by her sisters Jenny June and Gerty that same year. Each was engaged to the same man before their untimely demise. As with so many things in life such as blunt objects, disappearances and consumption, they and their brother, John N. never saw death coming. Failure is a magical, musical fable that traces the sisters’ triumphs and defeats. Set in the Fail family home and clock shop and filled with thoughtful birds, snakes and dogs, a rickety two-story building near the Chicago River, this funny, moving, and profoundly wise play reminds us that only love remains in the end. Reserve your ticket by 2/15/20.
